Short, because the site is small. Using it means accepting what follows.
What this site is
DuskDial is a set of calculators about bedtimes and sleep cycles, operated by Inyonitech Solutions (Pty) Ltd. It is free. There is no account, no subscription, nothing to buy and nothing to register for. It is meant to be paid for by advertising, and until Google approves the site for it, none is shown.
It is arithmetic, not advice
Every sleep table on this site is produced by multiplying and subtracting two assumptions that are printed on the page and that you can change; the rest is clock arithmetic and figures from the public sources the pages cite. Nothing here is medical advice, nothing here is a diagnosis, and no page claims to know anything about your health, your sleep or your body. If sleep is a problem rather than a scheduling question, ask a doctor. This is set out at greater length on the disclaimer page.
What you may do with the results
Anything you like. Print a table, screenshot it, put it in a group chat, write it on the back of your hand, use it in a class. The numbers are arithmetic and we claim no ownership of a subtraction.
What you may not do is take the site itself: bulk-copying the pages, scraping the full set of tables, the city list or the route pages to rebuild them elsewhere, or republishing substantial parts of the writing as your own. The wording, the design and the code are ours.

If you send a suggestion, a correction or an idea to hello@duskdial.com, you are giving us permission to use it to improve the site, without obligation and without payment. Do not send anything confidential. We will not publish your address.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break the site, overload it, scrape it automatically at volume, or use it to do anything unlawful. There is nothing here to log in to, so there is nothing to attack that would gain anybody anything, but it is worth saying.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is. We have tested the arithmetic with an automated set of checks, but we do not promise that the site will be available, that it will be free of errors, or that it will suit any particular purpose you have in mind. We may change it, move it or stop publishing it at any time.
Limits on our liability
This section limits what you can claim from us, so please read it. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site, or from your inability to use it, or from relying on anything it prints. That includes a missed alarm, a missed flight, a missed appointment and anything that follows from one.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for gross negligence, for deliberate wrongdoing, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act and any equivalent law where you live are unaffected by anything on this page.
Links to other sites
Some pages link elsewhere, for example to the government pages the nap pages cite. Those sites are not ours, we do not control what they do, and their terms and privacy policies apply once you leave.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer somewhere else, this does not take away the protections your own country's mandatory consumer law gives you.
